I’ve always been one to support my country and to stand by it believing all the propaganda that I’ve been hit with since I was a little girl, the kind of person who stood for the anthem and took my cap off and placed my hand on my heart, but I’ve realized that America isn’t this great place. We have more crimes and murders in this country than any other nation on earth, led by gun violence. Our children are are afraid to go to school for fear of a mass shooting. Our educational system ranks 31st in the world. Millions upon millions of Americans go without healthcare or can barely survive paying their bills working three jobs. We fear calling in sick even when we’re on deaths bed, believing we’re being loyal to our work, but the truth is they would get rid of you in a second for the smallest indiscretion or the next corporate takeover. We hope we can take a vacation and get away, but for lost people that is just a dream. We rank 23rd in the world on the happiness scale. And yet we hear this bullshit about an American Dream. We white wash our history to wipe away all the bad; slavery, the treatment of immigrants including the Irish, Italians, Chinese and Jews, we killed off the natives and we imprisoned Japanese American Citizens, yet we consider ourselves the moral leaders of the world. Get the hell out of here. The racism that exists in this country far exceeds that of any other nation. In the end America has always been a cesspool, so how was the idea of Make America Great Again ever a selling point? If you ask me we have never been great.
